Delhi Singh Sabhas ask Sangat to
Boycott Maan Pehowa's Functions
Chandigarh, Punjab - Two young victims
of the notorious rapist Saadh Maan Pehowa came forward on Indian and
International television detailing how the saadh had dishonored them
in his deras. They further elaborated that there were at least another
dozen young victims just like them.
The two Sikh bibis, Paramjit Kaur and
Manjinder Kaur (names altered), along with their families, were presented
at a nationally televised press conference in Chandigarh by Dr. Gurvinder
Singh Samra and Sahib Singh of the Sikh Sangharsh Committee. The press
conference was televised by ZeeTV, Sahara Samay and other national TV
channels.
The young women stated that their families
were devout followers of this Maan Pehowa, and the saadh had used his
position of trust to sexually abuse them and many other girls in his
deras. One of the girls revealed that the perverted saadh called her into
his private room and asked her to message his hair and scalp. He later
took advantage of her and threatened to eliminate her and her if she
told anyone about the incident. The other victim also revealed a similar
incident to the press reporters about the time she was raped by the
saadh.
Dr. Samra stated that there were at
least 14 other girls who have also come forward and at least 16 petitions
containing allegations of rape against the saadh will be filed in the
state of Haryana.
Dr. Samra blasted the Akali-BJP combine
and the Akal Takht Jathedar Joginder Singh Vendanti for their inaction
in this serious matter. Dr. Samra stated that the saadh has been receiving
VIP treatment from Parkash Badal since he took power after the recent
Punjab elections. The saadh had openly campaigned in support of Badal
Akali-BJP candidates.

Gurvinder Singh Samra, Sahib Singh,
and dozens of other Sikh activists were arrested on falsified charges
in February of this year by the Punjab Police under the direction of
Parkash Badal.
With the intervention of the high-courts,
Dr. Samra and Sahib Singh were both released on bail after spending
months in custody. Several dozen of their associates, along with relatives
of rape victims, still linger in jail.
Reacting to allegations of rape by
the two bibis, Maan Pehowa reportedly stated that if the rape allegations
can be proven, he would never set foot outside of his deras. His associate
Mannie Sinh, while speaking to the press, admitted that at least one
of the victims was known in the dera and had worked as an employee of
their school.
Reaction from Delhi Singh Sabhas
Various Singhs Sabhas in Delhi have
requested that the lecherous saadh not be allowed to utilize Sikh Gurdwaras
Sahib for performing his programs, and have asked the Sangat to boycott
any function organized by his dera. Sikh Sangat from Guru Angad Nagar
, Pandav Nagar and Old Anarkali areas have managed to cancel a program
by the saadh that was to be held on June 15th. Interestingly, the spokesman
of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) requested that strict
action should also be taken against pakhandis like Maan Pehowa in the
agitation being launched against Ram-Rahim of Sirsa.
